Master of Art Therapy: Associate Professor Sheridan Linnell

The Master of Art Therapy at Weston Sydney University is one of only a handful of accredited professional trainings in Art Therapy in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region. I was a student in the very first year of the Master of Art Therapy and I loved it so much that after some time in Clinical Practice I came back to teach in the Masters and and now I find my self in the position of running it. The Master of Art Therapy prepares our students to work in the professional field of Art Therapy immediately upon graduation and this is recognized our professional association the Australian and New Zealand…

Frostburg State Art Student’s Mission Patch to Fly to International Space Station

Ricky Arnold isn’t the only part of Frostburg State that will be in space this year. A mission patch designed by Frostburg art and design major Donovan Carter will be on its way to the International Space Station in June. I don’t think I got excited, really, until I heard about the alumni being launched into space with my badge, so That’s like double representation for Frostburg so I was like ‘OK!’ Donovan won the Student Spaceflight Experiments Program Mission Design Competition with his Maryland-inspired design. The patch represents the University System of Maryland for SSEP Mission 12. A print-out of the patch is expected to liftoff on June 9th…

The Issue With the Term ‘Emotional Experiences’ (Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and Journey)

Hi, I’m Hamish Black and this is Writing On Games. The term ‘emotional experience’, used when referring to games, is something that I have trouble with. Whenever I hear it (whether it be from reviewers who lack the critical capacity to explain what emotions the game is attempting to extract from the player, or publishers and developers who are trying to market their game to a specific audience), I think back to those ridiculous times around the late 2000’s where every game was referred to as a ‘cinematic’ experience, and I cringe just as hard as I did back then. It’s a shorthand that at best explains nothing, and at…

NASA’s zero-gravity plane: How astronauts train for microgravity | Michelle Thaller

ack, you had the question, how do we remove gravity from the anti-gravity chambers that astronauts train in? And you’ve probably seen films of astronauts in training, floating around in a closed chamber. And it does kind of look like we may have something that can actually shield against gravity. Well, for one thing, I really wish we did because just think about how useful that would be. Think about having, say, a construction site, and you can remove all of the gravity. You could actually move things around really easily. There’s so many applications for having some sort of anti-gravity device, but we don’t have one. There is no…

Central American migrant caravan | IN 60 SECONDS

What’s up with the caravan of Central Americans planning to cross the US border illegally? Tragically, it appears that desperate people have been made part of a dangerous stunt. El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras sit in a transit zone for illegal drugs heading to US consumers who abuse chemicals to escape there first-world problems. Central American governments are unwilling or unable to take on drug traffickers who are flush with cash and armed to the teeth. Vicious gangs murder, extort, and force young men into their ranks. Insecurity scares off investment and chokes off commerce. Every day, thousands of poor try to sneak across the US border, but the caravan…

How To Polish And Wax Swirls & Scratches – Chemical Guys TORQ22D Dual Action Polisher

Welcome to the Detail Garage! I have this customer, she brought in this vehicle for her husband. She doesn’t know anything about the car but she wants us to make it shine. So today I’m going to prep the surface by claying it to get rid of all the contaminants. Then I’m going to polish it with a dual action polisher with an all in one polish. This is the safest and least abrasive approach so I don’t do any damage or burn the paint. I’m going to get started by claying the surface before I start polishing. The reason why I want to clay the surface is to remove…
