Microsoft Surface Studio | App Partners

When I saw the Surface Studio for the first time, the jaw drops a little bit. The Surface dial, with the Studio, there’s just this magic that takes place. It’s definitely redefining the concept of desktop. The Sketchable was principally designed for pen and touch input. The Surface Studio fits it to a T. With the Surface Studio, what I saw, immediately, was the size of the screen. Whatever you’re doing, if you’re trying to be productive, real estate matters. The really special thing about the Surface Dial is when we can change the color while you’re painting, without even picking up the tip. That’s not just as good as real life, it’s better. At Bluebeam software, we make solutions for the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. With the Surface Studio you really have a new collaborative way of interacting with documents. It is essentially the same angle as a drafting table. You’re more immersed in the technology once you’re down in Studio mode. With the Dial, there’s an off screen and on screen presence and so I can work however makes sense to me. Mental Canvas combines free hand drawing with 3D capabilities. You could draw on a canvas, but then you could also project your strokes into space. With Surface Studio, you just get this really fluid experience of creation that’s just not possible anywhere else. The experience so far has been seamless. It’s going to change the way that people do work at their desk. Once you start to use it, you don’t feel like you’re working with a computer anymore. You feel like the computer is serving you, rather than the other way around.

  1. The only problem with this is that mind dosent think as much, mind is a candle that dosent burn out but only get brighter with more more more usage

  2. 1:25 Did they use the soundtrack of Sony Xperia Z promo video from 2013? 😂
[Edit] I've just checked, they did.

  3. I was hoping for the monitor itself and there is a hdmi port to plug with my more power custom pc that way I can fully use the screen feature

  4. This would be great if I could use any professional grade App with the Pen on my surface pro 4, and the truth is, the Windows Store is still empty. So sad even Affinity Designer does not work as expected with the surface pen, and most Pen compatible apps are junk iPad ripoff apps on Windows 8 metro design. Now my two years old Surface pro 4 only works like a bad laptop or just a nice One Note device for taking notes. So 5 Surface generations later Windows are still worried about develop new hardware and there is no real App in the market to worth the Surface Pen but those to make sketches and taking notes. The hardware is GREAT, but the appstore is empty and full of lack of pen support in pro grade.

  5. I have every line from Apple Mac, the iPhones, everything! Yup, total Apple geek. Picked up my first Microsoft item Surface Studio. I am blown away!

  6. I really loved the idea of the surface studio
    But
A mobile gpu of previous genaration in a huge desktop like this
Kills the point of future proofing
    Its not for me
    As a budget buyer
I would like a product to have as much power possible for the money

  7. This 5000$ machine is slower than 1700$ iMac 27" entry level…….
That's what happen when you design your product just pleasing to the eye under the name of innovation 😶😶😶

  8. Me gustan porque son muy utiles para aquellos que les gusta dibujar en pantalla como a mi…
Espero que el precio no sea tan grande

  9. People must switch from their iMacs and replace their graphics tablet with the new Microsoft Surface Studio 2, then start using one of Microsoft’s signature peripherals, the Surface Pen and Surface Dial while working with the graphics, live longer with Windows 10 and make their life much simpler and easier.

  10. Today I just came to know that such powerful device is not sold in our country. Hope Microsoft will introduce soon.

  11. How about the problem I'm having with my Microsoft book. I've hardly used it since I bought it a couple years ago. Went to turn it on and it's not turning on . Come to find out that it's a common problem with Microsoft laptops. Nothing your website suggest works. The geek squad can't do anything with it either. This isn't just the original version problem . And you've known about and didn't fix the problem in any of the other generations. I will never buy a Microsoft computer again.

  12. Microsoft hurt the longevity of this machine by
    1. no upgradeable ram. those 8GB machines will soon almost be obselete.
    2. no upgradeable gpu/ and or tb3, meaning you can never upgrade the GPU, for a graphics based machine that is a no no, Apple did this right with 4 tb3's.
Slow hard to upgrades hard drives and ssd's, many machines at that time were usings pcie fast ssds, like 6 times faster.
    3. Price to spec ratio is very bad, compared to the competition.
The screen and adjustability is awesome do not get me wrong, more music and video editing apps should take advantage of it, like they do the Mac pro, and nvdia creator laptops, which are miles more powerful, and upgradeable, ram, faster ssds, tb3 ports, but lack adaquite cooling and adjustability and touch/dial/pen input.
SO much potential let down by lack luster very limited hardware and upgradeability.
