I’m fascinated with this Anthropocene
moment that we’re in, and so the fact that you have
Siena, a medieval hilltop town, village, city, in the 21st century, I think that that’s sort of
the background for, like, everything else that’s
going on in my work. And over the years I’ve developed
a process where I go back and forth between analog and digital, and it allows me to basically keep a lot
of different projects going at the same time, but it also gives me a work structure,
so that I’m never really stuck. And I think here in Siena it’s
been even phenomenal, because it’s just regardless of whether
I’m taking in observations of the area or whatnot there’s information
that just keeps on, it just kind of comes into
the work automatically.
