Empowerpuff Internship! (Links to art in Description!)

Hi my name is Nina Steinkraus I’m an
eighteen year old artist working out of California and I’ve been drawing for as
long as I can remember I use everything from a pencil to
watercolor to painting on a Wacom tablet using Photoshop on my computer I’m in
love with learning about art and I love (Links to pictures in description) to better myself and I even have a
Facebook page where other people can share their work and we all critique
each other and the goal is common everyone wants to get better as an
artist social media platforms I have a Twitter I have a deviantART
I of course have a Facebook I also have with YouTube. So I used to work as an
intern at a gallery called arts Benicia I worked there part-time doing
everything from paper work to answering phone calls but even doing the simple
tasks was extremely fulfilling to me because I knew that I was helping my
community better themselves as artists and encouraging them to put their work
out there and for me it brought me a lot of satisfaction being able to do that
but personally I think the most fulfilling thing for me is being able to
help young people and young adults kids also being able to learn about art me
helping kids has come back a really long time in highschool is president of art
club I led my fellow teenagers to help teach less fortunate elementary school
students to basically learn how to paint and draw their own drawings and create
their own characters my favorite part about it was I love to see everyone be
able to express themselves even other kids in the club we’re having so much
fun learning a little bit more about art and the students themselves because
watching people draw you do learn more about them I have sense – translated
this passion into my current line of work I tore all ages of kids
from elementary high school math in English and then I also teach an
after-school program where I teach kindergarteners and elementary school
students art with a company called dream enrichment dream enrichment is a company
that harbors a lot of after school programs they basically rent out
classrooms from schools all around most portions of mid to North California and
they teach classes consisting of chess and engineering but I feature in the art
department and I’m one of the only teachers in my County that teaches the
art program and I really love it I love interacting with young people and I love
seeing them learn about something new and I love the moment where at the start
of class they feel like they can’t do something and I love that moment where
they realize that it’s possible if they actually put themselves out there in and
take the time to try it and I feel like so many kids suffer from not being able
to see how amazing and special that they could be if they really just tried so my
favorite part of doing the job is is when the kids realize that they’re
capable of doing something when we start a project they look at what we’re going
to be drawing and everyone will always say how hard it’s gonna be in that they
don’t think they can do it but that moment where they look at what they’ve
done and what they’ve drawn and realized that it was possible and that they’re
completely capable of doing this if they just actually try and do it I think so
many young kids and high schoolers suffer from not being able to see how
special and amazing they truly are and I hope that by teaching I can inspire them
to actually be able to believe in themselves you know as a woman myself
I really hope that I can inspire young girls and woman to have that confidence
in themselves so that they could eventually achieve so many of the goals
that you know when I was their age I had hoped to achieve teaching has really
allowed me to help inspire them and to allow them to grow as people and reach
what it is that they want to reach and I think art is such an amazing outlet for
them to be able to express themselves and realize who it is that they want to
be and what they want to do
