Clay Celtic Art Sculptures : Clay Celtic Art Sculptures: Tools & Equipment

For whoever loved this project we need some
tools. We need that wire in order to cut the clay. Like always we do we need like the roller
pin. We need like these two pieces of wood. That’s good in order when we cut the clay
to have a even slab. And now we have to create as one slab more or less the size of the piece
that we want. And I suggest to recycle the clay that we have. Because it’s a little bit
harder than the new clay. Let me explain you. If I cut the slab from here it’s going to
be much more easy. But it’s going, it’s too wet, then when we try to make the marks, always
it’s going to be like this little crumble clay in there and it’s not going to be clean
marks. Then this one that is a little bit more dry is going to make the work. This we
are going to use this wet, sorry, gray clay that is water base or wet clay and that one
is too. That’s the red one, but we are going to use the gray one because it’s clear for
the project. And it fires very well. This project also you can just let it dry and finish
with the finishing that I’m going to teach you. Or just put it in the kiln and let it
fire there. And it is going to be a great piece. If you paint it and put it in the kiln,
nothing is going to happen. You are going to lose the paint. The paint is going to disappear
and then you have to enamel or paint it later after the kiln. But it’s going to be really
very strong piece. Then I will just suggest to start recycling. It means that I have to
join this clay to that clay and make a big slab. OK.
